OK, we need to decide if you want: (note: you should be able to click on picture and go-to Lowes website)

  • a post at the top
  • return handrail into the wall
  • or turning goose-neck handrail (see picture below)

  A post like this would be at the bottom (and top if needed)

This is a sample of top rail. Notice hollowed space under. Spindles go there, and fillets in-between the spindles, that fills in space between spindles.

This a sample of Goose Neck rail, made to turn the corner.

This is a sample of “returning the hand rail into the wall“. We could do that at the top for the 1st rail instead of using a post or goose-neck rail. And on the second short rail for top steps.
